Frequently Asked Questions

Does the holster fit the Glock 30SF pistol?

The manufacturer lists Glock 30 and Glock 30S models as compatible. Do not automatically assume compatibility with the Glock 30SF, as frame dimensions and shape may differ. Always check compatibility with an unloaded firearm before carrying.

Does the holster fit the SIG Sauer P365 or P365XL pistol?

The manufacturer specifically mentions the SIG Sauer P365X model for this size. Compatibility with the standard P365, P365XL, XMacro, or other P365 variants must be confirmed separately.

Which SIG Sauer P320 versions does the holster fit?

The manufacturer's compatibility list includes the P320 and P320 Compact models, but the dimensions of the P320 series depend on the slide, grip module, and sights. Do not automatically assume compatibility with full-size, X5, XCarry, or modified configurations.

Can the holster be used with a red dot sight?

Yes. The holster has an optics cutout, but compatibility depends on the size, mounting position, and height of the sight. Make sure the sight does not catch on the holster edge or metal clip.

Does the holster fit a pistol with a weapon light or laser?

The manufacturer confirms the optics cutout but does not confirm compatibility with a light or laser mounted under the barrel. For such accessories, choose a holster designed for the specific firearm and accessory combination.

Is this a rigid, form-fitted holster?

No. The CHPO 57B SUB is a soft holster suitable for several firearm models. Retention is based on the holster's shape, material, and pressure from the belt and body, not on a rigid form or adjustable retention screw.

Does the holster have active retention?

No. The open-top holster does not have a retention strap or active locking mechanism. Before carrying, make sure the firearm stays secure during movement and that the trigger guard is fully covered.

Can the holster be used without an optical sight?

Yes. The optics cutout generally does not prevent use with standard sights, as long as the pistol otherwise matches the CHPO 57B SUB compatibility list.

Is the holster suitable for right-handed users?

This variant is made for left-handed draw. Right-handed users should select the RH version of the same size.

When is the Houston CHPO 57B SUB the right choice?

This holster is suitable for left-handed users who want to carry a compact or medium-sized pistol from the manufacturer's compatibility list inside the waistband. The optics cutout also makes it a practical choice for a firearm with a suitable red dot sight.

A rigid, precisely form-fitted holster may be a better choice if you want adjustable retention, positive locking, or the easiest possible one-handed holstering. For use with a weapon light or laser, select a holster made for the specific accessory.

Expert recommendation

The fit of a soft holster designed for multiple firearm models must be checked with the exact firearm and sight to be carried. With the unloaded firearm, ensure the trigger guard is fully covered, the magazine release and other controls are not activated, and the optical sight does not snag on the holster edge. The firearm must remain secure during normal movement.

The mouth of a soft holster may collapse after drawing the firearm. Do not force the firearm into a collapsed holster or place your fingers near the trigger guard. If necessary, remove the holster from the waistband and insert the cleared firearm into the holster before reattaching it. Carry firearms only in accordance with applicable law and license conditions.

Left-handed optics-ready IWB holster

The Houston CHPO 57B SUB combines a soft Eco-Leather construction, optics cutout, and strong metal clip. The left-handed holster is a practical choice for concealed carry of a compatible Glock, SIG Sauer, Beretta, Springfield Armory, Heckler & Koch, or Canik pistol.
