The manufacturer’s comfort rating is –5 °C. Actual comfort depends on your sleeping mat, clothing, humidity, weather, and your sensitivity to cold. What does the lower temperature limit of –10 °C mean? This is the recommended lower usage limit, not the usual comfortable sleeping temperature. For regular use, rely primarily on the –5 °C comfort rating. Can the sleeping bag be opened up as a blanket? No. The Sleeper Lite is a heat-retaining mummy-shaped sleeping bag and is not designed to be fully opened into a rectangular blanket. When is the Snugpak Sleeper Lite the right choice? The Sleeper Lite is a suitable intermediate option between lighter Basecamp models and the colder weather Sleeper Extreme. It’s ideal for users needing a –5 °C comfort rating but who don’t want a heavier winter sleeping bag. If nights are mostly warm or you need to carry all your gear for long distances, consider a lighter model with a smaller pack size. For regular use in colder winter conditions, choose a sleeping bag with higher thermal capacity. Recommendations We recommend the Sleeper Lite primarily for spring and autumn trips when night temperatures can drop below zero. Use it with a well-insulated sleeping mat and adjust the hood and shoulder baffle before sleeping to keep warm air inside the bag. Do not treat the –10 °C rating as a typical comfort temperature. If the weather forecast approaches the lower limit or you are sensitive to cold, choose a warmer model. Dry your sleeping bag after each damp night and store it uncompressed at home if possible. Olive green sleeping bag for the cold season The Snugpak Sleeper Lite Olive offers a –5 °C comfort temperature, insulated shoulder baffle, and durable synthetic construction. It is a practical choice for cold season camping, hunting camps, and car camping.
