The manufacturer's compatibility list includes Glock 19, Glock 23, and Glock 32. Compatibility with Glock 19X or Glock 45 should not be assumed automatically, as grip and frame dimensions may differ. Is the holster suitable for all Glock 19 generations? Compatibility may be affected by the generation of the firearm, optical sight, raised sights, threaded barrel, and other accessories. Exact fit should be checked with an unloaded firearm before carrying. Is the holster suitable for the standard Springfield Armory Hellcat? The manufacturer specifically lists the Hellcat Pro model with a 3.7-inch barrel. Compatibility and retention for the smaller standard Hellcat should not be assumed based on this. Does the SIG Sauer P365 fit this holster? The manufacturer lists the P365XL and P365 XMacro. For the standard P365 or P365X, a smaller holster size may be more suitable, so choose according to the manufacturer's compatibility list. Which Smith & Wesson models is the holster suitable for? The manufacturer's list includes the M&P9, M&P9 Shield EZ, and M&P Shield Plus. The dimensions of M&P series pistols vary, so this does not guarantee compatibility with all M&P or Shield versions. Is the holster suitable for the Taurus TX22 Compact model? The manufacturer lists the Taurus TX22 model without any additional version designation. Compatibility with the TX22 Compact or other variants with different slides and frames must be confirmed separately. Can the holster be used with a red dot sight? Yes. The holster has an optics cutout, but compatibility depends on the size, position, and mounting height of the sight. The sight must not snag on the edge of the holster or touch the metal clip. Is the holster compatible with a pistol equipped with a weapon light or laser? The manufacturer confirms the optics cutout, but not compatibility with a light or laser mounted under the barrel. For such setups, choose a holster designed for the specific weapon and accessory combination. Does the holster have an active retention device? No. The open-top holster does not have a retention strap or active locking mechanism. Before carrying, ensure the firearm remains secure during movement and the trigger guard is fully covered. Can the holster be used without an optical sight? Yes. The optics cutout generally does not prevent using the holster with standard sights, as long as the pistol otherwise matches the CHPO 57G compatibility list. Is the holster suitable for left-handed users? This variant is made for right-handed draw. Left-handed users should choose the CHPO 57G LH version. When is the Houston CHPO 57G the right choice? This holster is suitable for right-handed users who wish to carry one of the manufacturer's listed pistols concealed inside the waistband. The optics cutout also makes it a practical choice for pistols equipped with a compatible red dot or collimator sight. A rigid, model-specific holster may be a better choice if you want adjustable retention, positive locking, or the easiest possible one-handed holstering. For use with a weapon light or laser, choose a holster made specifically for that accessory. Expert recommendation The suitability of a soft holster designed for multiple pistol models must be checked with the exact firearm and sight you intend to carry. Make sure with an unloaded firearm that the trigger guard is fully covered, the magazine release and other controls are not engaged, and the optical sight does not snag on the edge of the holster. The firearm must remain secure during normal movement. The mouth of a soft holster may collapse after drawing the firearm. Do not force the firearm into a collapsed holster or place your fingers near the trigger guard. If necessary, remove the holster from the waistband and holster the unloaded firearm before reattaching. Carry a firearm only in accordance with applicable laws and license conditions.
